Dr Adaikalavan Ramasamy is a trained statistician and bioinformatician with expertise in transcriptomics, statistical genetics and eQTL applied in multiple health domains including cancer, clinical trials, asthma, allergy, respiratory function, smoking, neurogenetics, immunology and vaccine and metabolic health. As an applied bioinformatician, he focuses on generating meaningful insights from high throughput life biological data. On a methodological front, he has developed statistical methods to reduce false positive findings, more computationally-efficient implementation of various methods and visualization techniques. He has also developed a biomarker panel that can objectively assess symptom severity in human clinical trials of influenza challenge.
