    General Accountabilities

v  Advising and mentoring undergraduate students and providing advocacy as appropriate.

v  Maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.

v  Supporting students by participating in the Personal Tutor system.

v  Promoting innovative education technologies as appropriate to support the course content.

v  As appropriate pursuing independent research or research collaborations relevant to the undergraduate medical school.

v  Preparing subject content for e-learning purposes as requested.

v  Ensuring course curriculum and materials are kept up-to-date.

v  Complying with Malaysian statutory legislation and implementing Perdana University rules and requirements in furtherance of your own and general staff welfare and safety.

v  Performing such other related duties as may be requested from time to time.

 

Specific Accountabilities

v  Contributing to the development, facilitation and delivery of the undergraduate medical school teaching programme and allied specialties.

v  Delivering the MD curriculum in Perdana University and affiliated Teaching Hospitals including lectures, tutorials, practical activities and assessment and allied specialties for undergraduate students at Perdana University.

v  Liaising closely with the Dean and Lead regarding curriculum development, teaching programmes and examinations.

v  Assist the Lead in assessing the suitability for delivery of the curriculum of Teaching Hospitals assigned to Perdana University by the Ministry for Health in Malaysia.

v  Assist the Lead in the appointment of suitable clinical faculty in Perdana University Hospitals to facilitate delivery of the teaching programme.

v  Assist the Lead in developing quality clinical attachments and rotations in Perdana University Teaching Hospitals.

v  Contributing to the examination and assessments of Perdana University, including the grading of examinations, papers and projects.

v  As appropriate, assist the Lead in developing new courses and curricula required meeting ever-changing needs in education within the university and community.

 

Key Requirement

v  Must have clinical experience in pharmacology/pathology

v  Liaising closely with the Dean and Lead regarding curriculum development, teaching programme and examinations.

v  Assist the Lead in assessing the suitability for delivery of the curriculum of Teaching Hospitals assigned to Perdana University by the Ministry for Health in Malaysia.

v  Assist the Lead in the appointment of suitable clinical faculty in Perdana University Hospitals to facilitate delivery of the teaching programme.

v  Assist the Lead in developing quality clinical attachments and rotations in Perdana University Teaching Hospitals.

v  Contributing to the examination and assessments of Perdana University, including the grading of examinations, papers and projects.

v  As appropriate, assist the Lead in developing new courses and curricula required meeting ever-changing needs in education within the university and community.

v  Assist the Dean and Lead in implementing postgraduate collaboration between Perdana University and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
