Course details

Obtain valuable skills that meet the global demand for occupational therapists through the training provided in our BSc in Occupational Therapy.


Gain exposure to introductory subjects related to occupational therapy. You will be able to identify, describe and relate the concepts of occupational therapy in everyday living, obtaining a solid foundation. Other relevant subjects include basic anatomy, orthopaedic and surgical conditions, therapeutic activity and general pharmacology.


The second year involves the comprehension of the specifics of occupational therapy assessments and interventions. To learn these, you will be exposed to subjects such as neurological and paediatric conditions, orthotics and prosthetics, pressure garments, kinesiology and biomechanics in occupational therapy.


You will master a series of course-specific subjects that gives you a better insight on the role of occupational therapists. Learn about ergonomics, elderly care, and special education for children with disabilities, and participate in a research where you will relate occupational therapy practices to research findings.


In your final year, obtain knowledge and skills that gear you up for community services. You will learn subjects like community based rehabilitation, health promotion, work rehabilitation as well as driving rehabilitation. You will be well-prepared to be a professional occupational therapist when you complete the programme.
