Course details


The training provided at Perdana University’s BSc in Occupational Therapy, will ensure that you have the necessary skills to meet the global demand for occupational therapists.



YEAR 1

Students will be exposed to an array of introductory subjects related to occupational therapy. What this does is enable them to identify, describe and relate the concepts of occupational therapy in their jobs and in everyday living. There will be anatomy, orthopaedic and general pharmacology too.



YEAR 2

Students will be exposed to the specifics of occupational therapy assessments and interventions. These are learnable via subjects such as neurological and paediatric conditions, orthotics and prosthetics, pressure garments, kinesiology and biomechanics in occupational therapy.



YEAR 3

Students will learn a number of specific subjects including ergonomics, elderly care, sensory integration and special education for children with disabilities. Research methodology, management of occupational therapy services will also be part of the syllabus.



YEAR 4

In the final year, students will be exposed to subjects that are geared towards entry into serving and community service. These include subjects such as community based rehabilitation, health promotion, work rehabilitation and driving rehabilitation.
